Websites & BrandingLet’s show the world what you do
Beautifully made, island inspired.
Whether you’re starting with a handful of photos or a website that’s overdue for a fresh look, Beanpod Studio creates agency-quality brands and websites built around the full range of your work.
Selected Work
Your work deserves to be seen.
Plenty of talented people in the islands have no website, or one that no longer fits their business. Stephan Scholz (sscwoodworking.com, below) had decades of custom woodworking experience you could only see from a handful of photos. People only knew him from word of mouth. Now his customers can see the full range of his work in one place.
My own three sites are built for the investment world, so they look the part. They are “sister” sites for three related businesses, so their branding is intentionally similar. Yours will be built around your style, your customers and what they expect, and most of all, who you are as a business and as a person. Hover to scroll each live page; click for the full story.
How It Works
Discover, design, launch.
Modern AI tools have transformed both the quality and the price of a great website, and I’ve worked with them professionally since 2023. You get the benefit of that experience: a real, clickable site in days, with the kind of polish that used to take an agency budget, now available to you at a price that makes sense for a small business.
Typical timeline for a Growth Site or Custom Build. Starter Sites are often live in about a week. Much of this time goes to your review and feedback; the build itself can move faster.
A relaxed conversation (on Zoom from anywhere in the islands, or on St. John at your place or over coffee) about your business, your customers, and what a great website would do for you. You share photos, menus, reviews, whatever you have.
- Guided business interview
- Goals + customer profile
- Content and photo inventory
I turn our conversation into your brand and a working site you can click through on your phone and laptop. We refine the words, photos and layout together until the site describes your business the way you would.
- Branding built around who you are
- Clickable site preview
- Copy written in your own words
I connect your domain, set up hosting, and check every page on mobile and desktop. Then I walk you through the finished site so you know how everything works.
- Domain + hosting setup
- Mobile, speed and search basics
- Launch walkthrough

The Story
Wall Street polish, island heart.
My name is Jennifer Bruno, but around St. John, everyone calls me Bean, which is how the studio got its name. I’ve lived in Coral Bay since 2000, and Beanpod Studio is small and homegrown on purpose: unhurried, creative, and built on relationships.
For 20+ years I’ve worked in investment marketing and asset raising. In 2017 I founded Catalyst Hedge Fund Marketing, and more recently built CapitalFormation.ai, an AI platform that creates investor materials in minutes, and relaunched my podcast, Capital Firsthand. Along the way I’ve spent nearly 10 years leading brand and website projects for firms where credibility is everything, usually with an agency doing the build.
Beanpod Studio brings that same standard home. New AI tools now let me do that work myself, so a St. Thomas restaurant, a Tortola charter, or a Coral Bay craftsman can get the same caliber of site in a fraction of the time and cost. I work from Coral Bay and partner with businesses across the U.S. and British Virgin Islands.
I’m happy to meet on Zoom from anywhere in the islands, and in person on St. John at your place or over coffee.
If I don’t already know you, I look forward to meeting you and helping you grow your VI business.

Bean
FAQ
Good questions, honest answers.
Don’t see yours? Ask me anything. I usually reply within a few hours.
Ask Me a QuestionHow can you build sites so much faster than an agency, yet so affordably?
For almost 10 years I led brand and website projects with agencies doing the build. Since 2023 I’ve worked with AI tools professionally, building and refining a process for research, drafting, design exploration, and code that lets me do that work myself. Getting results at this level takes time to learn. The AI handles the heavy lifting; I handle the judgment, taste, and every final detail. Because I do the building myself, there’s no agency team in your price.
Why not build it myself on a website builder?
You can, and many owners try. Website builders look easy in the ads, but most people find out quickly how much work they are: learning the editor, writing every page, editing and sizing images and graphics to fit, and setting up the domain and email on their own. And the templates never quite fit. Each one is designed for a generic business, so you end up squeezing your story into sections that weren’t made for it. I design your site around your business from our first conversation, write the copy with you, and handle the technical setup, so you can keep running your business while your site gets built.
When can you start on my site?
Because I build every site myself, I take projects on a first-come, first-served basis, so I may be booked for a few weeks. Once your project starts, your site typically goes live in one to three weeks. If you’re considering a website, reach out early, and I’ll give you a start date before you commit. Your deposit reserves your spot on my calendar.
Will my site look like a template or "AI-generated"?
No. Every site starts from an interview about your business and is designed around your story, photos, and customers. The Stephan Scholz site and my own three coordinated sites are good examples: each one is designed around its own business.
Do I need to have a logo or photos already?
Not at all. Growth and Custom builds include a brand kit (logo, colors, typography). If you need photos, I can guide you on what to shoot yourself, with your phone, or direct a simple shoot to create tasteful visual assets that fill gaps.
Can you set up a professional email address?
Yes. Setup is $150 for up to three email addresses, plus $25 for each additional address. I recommend Google Workspace, which gives you an address like you@yourbusiness.com that works with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive. Google Workspace has its own monthly subscription, separate from your website package. Moving email over from an old account is quoted separately.
Who owns the website when it’s done?
You do. Your domain, your content, your brand files. If you ever want to move on, I’ll hand everything over.
How do updates work after launch?
I handle all site updates, so you never need to log in to anything. Send me your changes anytime by email or the contact form, and I’ll make them once a month in one batch for your site. Updates requested outside the monthly window are $50 each. A set schedule helps us both be efficient about site changes. Island Care Plan members have their monthly content changes included, and if something on your site stops working, I’ll fix it right away.
How does payment work?
A 50% deposit starts your project, and the remaining 50% is due when you approve the final site, before it goes live. I send invoices through Stripe, so you can pay securely online. The Island Care Plan is billed monthly.
Who handles my domain and hosting?
I do. Every site is hosted on Netlify, which keeps it fast and secure, and if you already own a domain, I’ll connect it to your new site. New domains are registered through GoDaddy, and the registration fee is paid separately from your package: about $26 for one year, including site protection. I recommend registering for two or three years so you don’t have to think about it for a while. Two years runs about $57.
Where are you based, and which islands do you serve?
I’m based in Coral Bay, St. John, and I work with businesses across the U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. John, and Water Island) and the British Virgin Islands (Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, Anegada, and beyond). Projects run smoothly over Zoom, email, and WhatsApp, and clients on St. John can also meet with me in person.
Do you only work with Virgin Islands businesses?
No. I started here because most people like working with someone they know, or someone a neighbor recommends. I’m glad to work with businesses anywhere. I’ve worked with clients over Zoom since 2018, and projects run just as smoothly that way.
I really need a website, but I’m not sure I can afford it.
Let’s talk anyway. The Starter Site is designed for small budgets, and payment comes in two parts: a deposit to start and the rest when you approve the final site and before it goes live. I also set aside a small number of free sites each year for local businesses and nonprofits that truly need one and can’t fit the cost right now. I choose them case by case, based on need and my schedule. Tell me about your situation in the contact form, and we’ll figure out what’s possible.
